How do you connect best with God?
Being outside alone with my Bible, especially by the river, watching
wildlife, singing with my dear friend Trish, meeting with Joan, my Spiritual
Director, worshipping with our wonderful Worship Team.
What do you do for fun?
Dates with my husband; kayaking with Dan and Amy; our family Sabbath meals
with Amy and Dan, with no phone and great food; having our house full for a
Passover seder; long, long meals with great friends; reading at least two
books at the same time (C.S. Lewis, George MacDonald, Abraham Heschel,
Martin Buber, Annie Dillard); making lace using antique thread; practicing
illumination calligraphy.
If you could have any supper power what would it be and why?
Clone myself so I could do 20 things at one time.
Best advice anyone has ever given you?
Walk the face of the earth as the true Shelly.
