Usher's Ministry      

The mission of the Usher Ministry at Washington Church is to ensure that the needs and comfort of all Gods people are met while at our facility.

Psalms 84:10 - "For a day in your courts is better than a thousand.  I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wickedness."

The purpose and function of the Usher Ministry is to meet, greet and seat the parishioners, with a loving smile, as they enter the sanctuary.  The Usher’s Ministry is an extension of God’s hands to people.  The Ministry of Ushering is a personal representation of Jesus Christ who meets people on a person-to-person basis when they first arrive at Washington Church.  Ushers serve as watchmen, servants, disciplinarians and hosts of our church.
