I've been very negligent in keeping up my blog - my apologies.
This
week was the week that all the men in the Fothergill clan got together and
had our second annual Highland games. Contestants were all well-trained,
fine physical specimens: Adam Just - last year's reigning champ, David Moore
- three weeks from his wedding, Dr. Benjamin Reynolds - four days away from
moving up to Toronto, Pastor Jimmy Crowell -
1. The caber toss. 2. The discus. 3. End-over-end tire strength challenge.
5. Archery. 6. The tire roll. 7. The hammer throw. When the dust settled, it was a successful contest. No trees were damaged, no dogs were hurt and most importantly no people were hurt.
I'm pleased to announce that the winner of the Second Annual Highland Games is Ben Reynolds.
We
regret that the excitement of these Highland games have eclipsed the
excitement we all experienced with the conclusion of the Tour de France.
However, we realize that glory fades rapidly.
Until next time, Pastor Don
