Friends,
As many of you already know, my youngest daughter
Lizzie and her husband Ben had their first child Abram Euan Reynolds. He
was 9 pounds 3 ounces and started to come out upside down so they had to
turn him around with forceps and Lizzie was in labor for 46 hours. It’s
easy for me to describe that in one sentence but I’m sure it was extremely
difficult for them to go through.
Although the scripture says the pain of labor is overshadowed by the joy of having a child, Ben and Lizzie have not yet experienced that truth. Little Abram seems to cry all the time. We how have, as they say in Scotland “a wee bloke.” The Reynolds are going to move back to Toledo next month as a temporary situation until the annual job market opens up once again for New Testament professors. Each day as I reflect on the wonder and mystery of God
I am overwhelmed that He has seen fit to reveal Himself to us.
May you share in that wonder. Love, Don
